Days 26-43
Ok, I got a bit behind, so instead of adding new posts day by day, I'm just gonna give you all I've got. I didn't have my camera a few days, so I'm a few pics short!
I pretended to be an international student tonight for a mock tutorial session. This was my essay that David helped me with.

Day 23: October 15, 2010
We went on a writing center field trip today! I typically refer to anything that allows me to leave the dungeon as a "field trip," including going to the copy machine on the second floor. But this was like a legit field trip. Ka, David, Brandi, and I all drove out to Fort Worth for the North Texas Writing Center Association conference. It was really fun. We were acting like the hicks from out of town, gawking at the fancy school and taking pictures of everything. It was a blast.

Two pics again today! My seester and I went to the Mid-Cities Greek Fest today... definitely one of my favorite events... um, ever. We ate some Greek food, watched some Greek dancers, learned to Greek dance, and had a generally merry time.
We couldn't resist buying these amazing t-shirts.... OPA!!!
PS: urban dictionary defines "opa" as "a word that Greek people use for no apparent reason at all." Isn't that wonderful?? It's an expression of happiness/excitement... basically like saying "Hooray!" or something. I'm going to start using it ALL the time. :)

Day 13: October 5, 2010
Old picture!!! But again, I left my camera at home, so I did not take any photos. :( But anywho, I went to go visit the famous ASHLEE KNUTSON tonight!!! Ashlee was my roomie in college. But then she got a new roomie. A husband. So now she lives in Cleburne. Lame. But, it gives me an excuse for a mini road trip.... especially because Ashlee is preggers!! So I went and looked at some sonogram pics and ate taco soup. I am so stoked for her and Tyler.
PS: This pic was taken a few years ago at the Young Life banquet

Day 11: October 3, 2010
Last day in Bennington! This is my cousin Cian (who came all the way from Florida for this!) practicing his dulcimer skills. (Again, due to a lack of a camera, this pic is stolen from my seester!)

Day 10: October 2, 2010
We went to Oklahoma for a dulcimer festival that some good family friends put on. We had a blast... a good group of friends and family joined, and we learned some banjo and dulcimer, went four-wheeling, and watched my daddy auction ziploc bags full of beef. It was amazing.
We went on a night ride on Saturday night. Robin, Jessica, and I got the Mule to ride in... more protection from spider webs that way. Poor Jessica was bruised from bouncing around in the back, though! It was quite an adventurous event. We saw about a kajillion stars, got terribly lost, almost got eaten by a giant arachnid (and other bugs), and ran out of gas. Not as smooth as it could have gone, but I loved every minute! (I take that back... not the minute that I thought I was going to be eaten by a gargantuan spider.)

Day 9: October 1, 2010
Ok, so I got a little off track this last week. I left my camera at home when I left for the weekend in Oklahoma... so I had to steal a few photos from my seester. This pic is actually from Saturday morning... but it suffices. Again with ME making the rules for my blog. :)
This is me, Cara, and Robin doing model poses with our banjos. Aren't we glamorous?

How bout dem apples?
My boss, Ka, spoils us. Every fall, she brings us the world's most delicious apples all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Champagne Apples are a type of apple only grown in this region of NM... and they are amazing. So amazing that Ka drove all the way to NM and back to bring back a carload of apples to share! So today was apple day at work. I even made an apple snowman.
