December 25, 2010

Look at what my Daddy and Daniel made me for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

December 24, 2010

We had Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve this year, since Daniel and Emily went to California on Christmas day. I set the table... and I made the napkins all fancy-like. The napkin designs featured triangles, ruffles, a boat, a fortune teller, and a snowflake.

December 21, 2010

The Jackson six came over for a slumber party at the Hamilton house. We went caroling at Robin and Josh's and then they watched Evil Roy Slade.

December 20, 2010

Had some fun researching language today at work...

December 19, 2010

We had a music night tonight... and i finally got to see Kharratie!! Notice how huge i am in comparison to everyone. i need to learn to shrink down for pictures so i'm not towering over everyone.

December 18, 2010

Took some photos of the Mahoney clan today... they are all on the same continent, in the same city! The little girl in the front is their cousin... she has the coolest name ever. EVER. i bet you can guess what it is. :)

December 17, 2010

I got all dressed up for a friend's movie premier. It was a black tie event... but there were some major technical difficulties and it had to be cancelled. Oh, well. That just means i get to dress up again another time! PS- this dress belonged to my Grandma in the 50s... i LOVE it!

December 16, 2010

The 20somethings group had our Bible study and Christmas party tonight at the Williams' house. We also did a white elephant gift exchange, and Carrie Mae got my giant fish!

December 15, 2010

Emily came home!!!!

Also, the electricity went out tonight while i was in the dungeon. Lights were out all over campus... but no worries, this one gazebo still shone brightly! This is why DBU has so many... in case of power outage, surely ONE of them will stay lit!

December 14, 2010

I had the day off from school and work today, so I was finally able to do some cleaning and organizing that I have been longing to do for the last few months. This drawer was one of the first to be cleaned out.

December 13, 2010

Edited a few pictures of me, too. I love playing with lighting.

December 12, 2010

Had a couple of YL girls over for a Christmas photo shoot. Here's Jeni's end result:

December 11, 2010

I take far too many pictures of myself. I'm a bit of a narcissist at times, I think. But I'm also really good at taking unflattering self-portraits. I actually thought about starting a blog one time that included ridiculous portraits of myself.

December 10, 2010

The University Writing Center Christmas party was awesome!! Our entire office is a gingerbread village, so it provided a very festive setting. We ate taco soup, played some games, and exchanged ornaments. Here's a shot of all the tutors and receptionists:

December 9, 2010

Found another old picture. This one was at Christmas time... both Kristin (my cousin) and I had dresses that matched my sister's, so there are more matchy pictures of all of us.

December 8, 2010

I went digging through some old pictures and finally found the picture of me as the Thanksgiving turkey in kindergarten! I was, of course, the best turkey ever.

December 7, 2010

The annual Young Life white elephant exchange was a blast, as always. i ended up with a superman costume and a picture of Jacob Coon in a ketchup costume. Daniel, Emily, and Bobby Duke are officially doing YL again and were put on the Lamar team. Go Vikes!

Days 26-43

Ok, I got a bit behind, so instead of adding new posts day by day, I'm just gonna give you all I've got. I didn't have my camera a few days, so I'm a few pics short!

I found picture proof that I have always been a hardcore Rangers fan.

Lincoln Square was very festive!

WAHOO RANGERS!!!! ALCS CHAMPS!!!!

My kitty loves me.

I pretended to be an international student tonight for a mock tutorial session. This was my essay that David helped me with.

The sky was kinda pretty. But you can't really see the sky very well.

I studied some Greek... I LOVE Greek!!!

We had a Thailand reunion!

Megan and I dressed up to take pictures and then decorated Emily and Daniel's car to congratulate them on having carpet.
Melanie came over and we made Thai curry and sticky rice!

Day 21: October 13, 2010

Taco soup day! Again with my boss being the best boss in the whole world... Ka brought us the most delicious taco soup and apple dump cake for lunch today. What a treat!

Day 23: October 15, 2010

We went on a writing center field trip today! I typically refer to anything that allows me to leave the dungeon as a "field trip," including going to the copy machine on the second floor. But this was like a legit field trip. Ka, David, Brandi, and I all drove out to Fort Worth for the North Texas Writing Center Association conference. It was really fun. We were acting like the hicks from out of town, gawking at the fancy school and taking pictures of everything. It was a blast.

Day 22: October 14, 2010

I went to a meeting with some people from Pioneer Bible Translators... I am SOOOO excited about possibly working with them. It was a great evening talking to peeps who have the same passions as i do.

Day 20: October 12, 2010

We all went over to Nana's house tonight to watch my Texas boys DOMINATE in the ALDS!!!
Here is the crew giving the "run like a deer" signal.
GO RANGERS!!

Day 19: October 11, 2010

Have a New Testament Midterm Tomorrow, So I Did Some Studying.
I Am Enjoying Capitalizing Every Word in this Post.
It Looks Like a Really Long Title or Something.

Day 18: October 10, 2010

It was absolutely gorgeous out today... and windy... so we took the sailboat out for a while.
Sailing is my favorite. :)
I say that a lot of things are my favorite. But sailing really is one of my favorites.

Day 17: October 9, 2010

Two pics again today! My seester and I went to the Mid-Cities Greek Fest today... definitely one of my favorite events... um, ever. We ate some Greek food, watched some Greek dancers, learned to Greek dance, and had a generally merry time.

We couldn't resist buying these amazing t-shirts.... OPA!!!

PS: urban dictionary defines "opa" as "a word that Greek people use for no apparent reason at all." Isn't that wonderful?? It's an expression of happiness/excitement... basically like saying "Hooray!" or something. I'm going to start using it ALL the time. :)

Day 16: October 8, 2010

Went to the prayer night for Kenya out at Southwestern, where I got to see the my other preggo friend, the lovely Morgan Hobbs!

20101007

Day 15: October 7, 2010

I sat at the "Power Table" at lunch with some awesome gals from SW today!

Later, I went to hang out with the 20-somethings group from FBC. We went and helped out at Mission Arlington for a while, then got some Frosties and headed to Eddie's. I leave you with this epic pic of Eddie Looper....

Day 14: October 6, 2010

Ate another famous New Mexico apple today.

Day 13: October 5, 2010

Old picture!!! But again, I left my camera at home, so I did not take any photos. :( But anywho, I went to go visit the famous ASHLEE KNUTSON tonight!!! Ashlee was my roomie in college. But then she got a new roomie. A husband. So now she lives in Cleburne. Lame. But, it gives me an excuse for a mini road trip.... especially because Ashlee is preggers!! So I went and looked at some sonogram pics and ate taco soup. I am so stoked for her and Tyler.

PS: This pic was taken a few years ago at the Young Life banquet

Day 12: October 4, 2010

I love sunsets. :)

Day 11: October 3, 2010

Last day in Bennington! This is my cousin Cian (who came all the way from Florida for this!) practicing his dulcimer skills. (Again, due to a lack of a camera, this pic is stolen from my seester!)

Day 10: October 2, 2010

We went to Oklahoma for a dulcimer festival that some good family friends put on. We had a blast... a good group of friends and family joined, and we learned some banjo and dulcimer, went four-wheeling, and watched my daddy auction ziploc bags full of beef. It was amazing.

We went on a night ride on Saturday night. Robin, Jessica, and I got the Mule to ride in... more protection from spider webs that way. Poor Jessica was bruised from bouncing around in the back, though! It was quite an adventurous event. We saw about a kajillion stars, got terribly lost, almost got eaten by a giant arachnid (and other bugs), and ran out of gas. Not as smooth as it could have gone, but I loved every minute! (I take that back... not the minute that I thought I was going to be eaten by a gargantuan spider.)

Day 9: October 1, 2010

Ok, so I got a little off track this last week. I left my camera at home when I left for the weekend in Oklahoma... so I had to steal a few photos from my seester. This pic is actually from Saturday morning... but it suffices. Again with ME making the rules for my blog. :)

This is me, Cara, and Robin doing model poses with our banjos. Aren't we glamorous?

Day 8: September 30, 2010

Went over to Daniel and Emily's tonight to check out the latest work on the master bedroom... it's looking really good! This floor is the last big task remaining... in the next few weeks, they hope to get carpet... and get rid of all the sheetrock dust!

20100929

Day 7: September 29, 2010

How bout dem apples?

My boss, Ka, spoils us. Every fall, she brings us the world's most delicious apples all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Champagne Apples are a type of apple only grown in this region of NM... and they are amazing. So amazing that Ka drove all the way to NM and back to bring back a carload of apples to share! So today was apple day at work. I even made an apple snowman.

It was a good day. :)
