Day 8: September 30, 2010

Went over to Daniel and Emily's tonight to check out the latest work on the master bedroom... it's looking really good! This floor is the last big task remaining... in the next few weeks, they hope to get carpet... and get rid of all the sheetrock dust!

Day 7: September 29, 2010

How bout dem apples?

My boss, Ka, spoils us. Every fall, she brings us the world's most delicious apples all the way from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Champagne Apples are a type of apple only grown in this region of NM... and they are amazing. So amazing that Ka drove all the way to NM and back to bring back a carload of apples to share! So today was apple day at work. I even made an apple snowman.

It was a good day. :)

Day 6: September 28, 2010

Finished the book of Numbers today! Numbers was much more fascinating than I thought... there are some awesome stories in there. I'd never read the whole thing through, since it gets such a bad rap for being boring. But I have to say otherwise.
Now bring it on, Deuteronomy!

Day 5: September 27, 2010

We did a bunch of mock tutorials for the trainees in the dungeon today. Ethan was being a very difficult student here and had a horribly formatted paper. Perhaps only complete nerds would find our antics funny. I'm proud to be a nerd. :)

Day 4: September 26, 2010

After leadership, watched the Prince of Persia with my parents

Day 3: September 25, 2010

We had a little birthday shindig for me tonight. We were having fun with Hobbes... who is hopelessly addicted to "Temptations" cat treats. Like really. You shake the bag and he comes sprinting your way so he can scarf down some treats. Robin used them to train Hobbes to play the piano. Pretty good, for a cat.

Day 2: September 24, 2010

Well, today was a very busy day! I had about 1,800 places to be, so I fit in what I could. I think I'll be an overachiever today and post several pictures. If that's allowed. It is. This is my blog. I make the rules. Boom roasted.

So first, after work, I ate some hamburgers with some Young Life gals at a tailgate party.

Then, I went to First Baptist and played some music for a senior adult square dance. That's right... dancing at my BAPTIST church. We know how to roll.

Then, when I realized I would not make it in time to FW for the prayer night (sad face), I jetted out to head to the AHS v. Lamar game. Got to see Neicey cheer and Courtney be the mascot and Christella play the french horn! Love my A-town Younglifers.

Then, to conclude the night, went and saw the lovely Stephanie, Chuck-E Cheese employee extraordinaire, and we ran into the lovely Brandy, Tom Thumb employee extraordinaire!

Day 1: September 23, 2010

Today I am inaugurating my 365 blog. I have been inspired by my dear seester, and so from this day forth, I shall bring you a daily picture of my life.

Today is my 24th birthday (yay!!!), and what better way to spend your b-day than by watching the sunset over the lake with your daddy? Daniel and Mitchell were out on the sailboat somewhere out there, too.
